Vinted Members Share Anger Regarding Sizing Modifications
Shoppers are voicing their frustration due to a modification that led to products showing incorrect sizing.
The second-hand shopping app has altered its size classifications for female and kids' apparel failing to inform all shoppers about the modification.

Many shoppers and sellers have taken to social media claiming that product pages now present a different size category compared to what was initially listed as a result of the reclassification.
Vinted explained the updated approach better aligns with comparable marketplaces.
The platform has recommended to examine their items and adjust the sizing manually if necessary, causing user dissatisfaction.
Size Classification Modifications
Before the change, the measurements included one number and one letter, like S/8 or M/10.
The updated approach includes a letter and a range such as S/UK 8-10.
For certain items, the size labels have been reassigned - for example a size L used to be a 12 but now shows as UK 16-18.
Shopper Accounts
Frankie Bridger, who produces content about larger sizing, said the change "makes both selling and buying harder".
"Rarely do manufacturers list XL as sizes 20-22," the way the service now categorizes.
Stephanie Gallen, from Glasgow, stated items she posted featuring size 14 markings were appearing on the platform as size 20–22.
"If anyone [who is] size 20-22 buys them they're going to be very disappointed," she stated.
Manual Updates
A different user, from Derby, explained she became annoyed by the change as she had to manually change the measurements for "each individual item".
"This situation is especially annoying, since I have chronic health issues and Vinted sales have been crucial after experiencing income reduction," she explained.
Service Background
The platform boasts over 100 million users, comprising 18 million UK members.
It has proved a popular alternative versus similar marketplaces including eBay and Depop.
This represents another occasion that an unexpected update to the app has proved unpopular: previously, the service retracted a modification to its shipping options after backlash from users.
